As the market suggested, All Stars proved too good for his opposition when making his Queensland debut at Beaudesert, today.

Commencing his career under the guidance of Victorian Trainer Mick Price, the well-bred 3yo (by All Too Hard out of the Group placed daughter of Shamardal, Marquardt) had two starts – running second to Wild Plant (Listed and Group placed) – before the decision was made to geld the colt.

When looking to relocate to Queensland, prominent owners of All Starts, GPI Racing and Makybe Racing and Breeding Pty Ltd, decided on Healey Racing.

With two trials under his belt, All Stars was forward for in condition for today’s assignment and started smartly for jockey James Orman when the gates opened, finding an early position on the pace.

Settling three-quarters of a length from the pace-setter, All Stars travelled well mid-race but approaching the home-turn, when the leader increased the tempo and attempted to pinch a break, Orman quickly responded and asked All Stars for an effort.

Straightening for the short run home, there was some work for Orman and All Stars to do, however, the pair got to work inside the final 100m and were too strong late.
